You need one to grasp the meaning of the other. Storms and Calm serve a purpose. One strengthens you. The other permits you rest. But without both, you would lack discernment. You wouldn’t know the difference because you’d have no gauge.
So don’t complain about the storms. Even the worst one only lasts for season. And calm only lasts for a season, too. You might not feel you’re strong enough to take all life throws at you, but keep going. Slog through it. On the other side, you’ll come to realize you’re stronger than you thought. And you’ll appreciate the calm after the storm, or before it, more thoroughly.
