Set the characters goals, conflicts and backstory.  Developed the setting.  And wrote 23 pages.  Most of it won’t make the final cut, but for today, it’s good progress.

I had the concept of the story in mind, but I didn’t do the pre-writing, a synopsis or outline or any of the other prep work.  So this is a seat-of-your-pants book, and I haven’t written that way in a long time.  Whether or not it’ll prove productive remains to be seen.
