We all start out the New Year with resolutions–even not making a resolution is a resolution–or commitments for the new year. The problem is our resolve often fizzles and fades, if not by the 15th, then by February or March.  Why is that?

The reasons are as diverse as we are, but there are things we can do to guard against the fizzle.  Over the years, I’ve addressed readers’ concerns and written articles to hopefully assist.  I’ll share some of them here with you.  Do feel free to amend them to suit your specific life, and may they help you achieve not only your wishes and hopes, but your objectives, goals and plans!

Planning, you see, is the key.  You can’t just resolve to do something and it magically happen.  You must create an actual plan and then work the plan. That, of course, requires resolve but also commitment, discipline and focus.  if you really want it (whatever it might be), you’ll work for it.  That’s the bottom line.
