Yesterday Kathleen Woodiwiss died from cancer.
As well as others, a large number of writers, particularly romance writers, are mourning her passing.
It is because of the trail Kathleen blazed that many writers are writing what they’re writing today. She launched a new genre in publishing with THE FLAME AND THE FLOWER, and went on to write many other notable books.
My favorite of hers is A ROSE IN WINTER.
During the course of her career, Kathleen was generous with her help and her advice. She was warm and welcoming and always gracious.
Kathleen opened doors and windows for many others, and now she sleeps.
I pray, peacefully, with the satisfaction of a job well done and a life well lived.
