Today is a day of mourning. The writing world has lost not only a fabulous voice but a dynamic personality at home in Elaine Flinn.
I admired and respected her. We were colleagues, we were friends. The privilege was mine.
You might know Elaine best by her books featuring the irresistible sleuth, Molly Doyle, or by her quick and sharp witted columns under her monkier, Evil E. You might have judged the International Thriller Writers annual competition with her, or been a buddy in MWA. Elaine was involved, funny, a blessing to many.
She was well loved.
She loved well.
For for those who had the pleasure of calling her friend, her passing will leave an empty ache memories of her laughter will fill. In our daily lives, her presence will be sorely missed.
