Thank you, Caron. I appreciate your commenting and your words. It's amazing to see the impact firsthand, isn't it? Honestly, I'm nothing special. He uses us all, provided we're willing, but I thank you for your kindness.

Beautiful Vicki. You are so right. I saw nowhere near as much publicity about National Day of Pray this year as in other years. Ironic because we need prayer now more than ever. :)

I know what you mean about writing in different genres. My first 3 books have been different from one another - mostly because I was experimenting to find *the* book that would succeed. Ironically, the first book is my most successful and I am now writing the sequel.

Excellent post, Vicki. I've also found it effective to ask the Holy Spirit to pray for me when I cannot. There were awesome results!

What a beautiful tribute to your mother. I know she must have had something on the ball to raise a daughter like you. It sounds like the two of you were very close. I'm so glad you shared that blessing. Big hug to you today.

You are living the dream. What a beautiful day!

My five star day would sound much like yours. Family, laughter, and sweet memories doing things your grandchildren will no doubt pass. I'm happy to say we have lots of five star days at this point in our lives. Knock wood.

Our most recent was about 10 days ago. I woke up and said, "There's a dog that needs us. I can feel it talking to me." Sure enough, we looked at the local humane society page and there he was. I know that sounds like a no brainer, but there's more to it than than. He'd been adopted twice and taken back because he doesn't play well with other dogs. He is fat, unambitious, and afraid of everything from loud noises to stairs. He isn't particularly cute, either. But I knew in my heart he was ours. I had no idea why. I never wanted another dog that sheds, and he's a St. Bernard mix. Go figure.

But I did what my inner voice told me, and after my sons's track tournament where he set a new PR, we had a lovely late lunch and went to get the dog. He totally ignored us when we got there. Didn't matter. He was ours.

We got him home to discover he is a perfect gentleman, well trained, and fits right in. And the best part? Whatever he's mixed with is some breed that doesn't shed.

After a few days of ham raining down on the staircase, he takes them like a pro, and he shadows us everywhere. He even barks now when someone comes to the door.

My point? For me, five star days are invariably about going with life's currents and loving the people (or dogs) that I'm with. Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful party with us.
